i am in tokyo.
I am here for a pop-up store we (kidrobot) are doing Wednesday nite, funny enough, everyone I know instead asked me if I was going to the Opening Ceremony store's opening on Friday. I just got in today and was walking about, here is a picture of their new store, for those of you who don't know, OC is a great young designer fashion boutique, based in NYC, with a location also in LA. This store, is 5 times bigger than both of those combined, it is almost the size of PARCO in Shibuya from the outside. Like whoa.
I wish them luck and maybe i can sneak more pics Friday.

areaware temporary store.
My great friends at areaware opened a temporary store at the Port
Authority Bus Terminal in NYC, aptly named Design To Go. Because of
it's location, most of the items are based on travel. It also features
a collection of items from the SoHo store KIOSK and Brooklyn's Future
Perfect. If you are in NYC and happen to be by the Port Authority, it
is definitely worth a visit, both for the unique collection of items,
and for the use of temporary materials to build out the space.

haha.
My friends at areaware asked me to do a few drawings of products I
really liked for a section in their new catalog.
really liked for a section in their new catalog.
I chose Harry Allen's bulb lamps (drawing #6), and David Week's Hanno
(drawing #22) and did them in a very sketch style. It's was fun.
Here they are.
a pile-up of record covers...
Good friend and fellow record head, Mike Davis aka Mike the 2600 King,
posted some great pics of a few of his albums up on his blog. I found
a few gems I forgot about in a recent move as well, I should post them
up.

my website.
Finally updated my website, with some links to some bigger projects, via google. I want to do more to it, a lot more, but just messing about today. The picture is from a trip Christine and I took in Tennessee in 2003 with the family to check out the Mennonites. As you can tell, did some edits to the blog too. I cant figure out how to get rid of the header space, anyone? Bueller?
